Alison Tharp Martin Columbia, MO March 18, 2012 11:15 PM		I believe that I saw Matt many times in the corriders of the University Hospital and Clinics in the five years I've worked at the MIZZOU School of Medicine. I was truly drawn to him. We often smiled at eachother -- saying hello-- even though we'd never formally met. I wished I'd stopped at least once to chat, but never did. I'm extremely touched by his story and the generosity of the Sissons, his surviving sister and family and all of those in the community who helped him get on his feet. Bless you. I will miss this sweet man, Matthew, who I truly looked forward to seeing at Mizzou. I am sad this evening, very sad, yet grateful for his life and so inspired.

He never ceased to amaze me at his determination and great sense of humor. Grandma told me many times how much he brighted her day. I remember the first time you all brought him out to grandma's for the afternoon. I don't think, as a kid I could ever begin to realize how special he would become to all of us who got to know him through the years. Matt, you're leaving a hugh hole in a family that loved you very much.-Cathy

Kurt Wallace Columbia, MO. March 17, 2012 6:53 PM		I worked with Matt as equipment manager at Rock Bridge in '82 and '83. He was a special guy. So very sorry to hear of his passing but happy to know he has returned to the arms of his family, and to Jesus Christ. Rest in Peace, Matt.
